Located conveniently within city limits in a calm serenity of lush greenery surroundings, the thirty-nine suites at The Thinnai are comfortably and tastefully appointed with earth tone relaxing interior décor for a peaceful ambience. The suites come in six different configurations, starting with the Vaalai offering a single bedroom suite with a private balcony or verandah and ending with the Mallihai, which has 2 bedrooms, 2 washrooms, a verandah, a balcony, a kitchen and a private jacuzzi.

The hotel has several outlets to enjoy deliciously prepared food and beverages to start the day or to relax and unwind with loved ones after exploring Jaffna. The Amudham Restaurant is located on the third floor of The Thinnai and has seating capacity for 90 diners. The Thulaa Café is located on the ground floor and provides outdoor and under the canopy seating for forty guests The Saaral Pub is located on the first floor with seating for 30 guests.

The hotel’s banquet hall, Mangalam is ideal for weddings, Receptions, Arangetrams, Corporate functions, and Birthday parties to name a few. It is well equipped, with a stage that can be individually configured, a state-of-the-art sound system, an overhead projector, and a lectern. The lighting is adjustable to set the mood, and seating can be adjusted to match individual needs up to 200 seating capacity. For smaller meetings from 15 to 50 participants both the Sangamam meeting room and the Thulaa Restaurant are available.

Thinnai Organic

Located just a fifteen-minute ride away from The Thinnai hotel, Thinnai Organic is sprawled across ten acres and offers several options for accommodation. These include a two-bedroom farmhouse, a farm room, and several glamping tents. Furthermore, the farm offers space for backpackers to pitch their tents for a secure overnight farm stay. The farm also offers various culinary, dining and farm experiences to its guests. It also has two outdoor Jacuzzis.

Thinnai Organic is the region’s pioneer agritourism hotel, with its organic farm growing a variety of fruit, herbs, and vegetables. Furthermore, the farm has cows for milk as well as free-range organic chickens for farm-fresh eggs. Another of its farms nearby has livestock, including grass-fed goats and free-roaming organic chicken.

Thinnai Organic’s Saantham Experience Center is an open hall with over 4,700 square feet which is ideal for a variety of events. The farm’s guests can mingle freely and interact with the kitchen’s team at the Saantham in the open kitchen during dining, culinary and farming experiences. Furthermore, there is a lounge on the first floor overlooking the entire farm, where guests can rest in the evenings while reading a book or relax while listening to music. For a peaceful reunion, guests could simply sit in a gazebo or on the open deck near the pond. An open-air stage surrounded by lushly landscaped hillocks and lawns provides a stage for yoga and meditation as well as for performers to entertain Thinnai Organic’s guests during sunset. The farm also offers curated Ayurvedic treatment to the guests.
