The opening ceremony of the newly constructed Tourist Information Centre and Passenger Rest Pavilion

The opening ceremony of the newly constructed Tourist Information Centre and Passenger Rest Pavilion (with bathroom and toilet facilities), built at the Delft jetty with an allocation of 38 million rupees from the Northern Province Tourism Bureau, was held  on Thursday, 16 April 2026.

The event was held under the chairmanship of the Hon. Chairman of the Delft Pradeshiya Sabha, S. Sathiyavarathan. The Hon. Governor of the Northern Province, N. Vethanayahan, and the Hon. Member of Parliament for the Jaffna District, K. Ilankumaran, attended as guests and officially declared the building complex open.

வடக்கு மாகாண சுற்றுலாப் பணியகத்தின் 38 மில்லியன் ரூபா நிதி ஒதுக்கீட்டில், நெடுந்தீவு இறங்குதுறையில் புதிதாக அமைக்கப்பட்ட சுற்றுலா தகவல் நிலையம் மற்றும் பயணிகள் இளைப்பாறும் மண்டபம் (குளியலறை, மலசலகூட வசதிகளுடன்) திறந்து வைக்கும் நிகழ்வு 16.04.2026 வியாழக்கிழமை காலை நடைபெற்றது. 

நெடுந்தீவு பிரதேச சபையின் கௌரவ தவிசாளர் ச.சத்தியவரதன் தலைமையில் நடைபெற்ற இந்நிகழ்வில், வடக்கு மாகாண கௌரவ ஆளுநர் நா.வேதநாயகன் மற்றும் யாழ். மாவட்ட கௌரவ நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர் க.இளங்குமரன் ஆகியோர் அதிதிகளாகக் கலந்துகொண்டு கட்டடத் தொகுதியை உத்தியோகபூர்வமாகத் திறந்து வைத்தனர்.

උතුරු පළාත් සංචාරක කාර්යාංශයේ රුපියල් මිලියන 38ක මූල්‍ය ප්‍රතිපාදන යටතේ, නෙඩුන්තීවු ජැටියේ අලුතින් ඉදිකළ සංචාරක තොරතුරු මධ්‍යස්ථානය සහ මගී විවේකාගාරය (නාන කාමර සහ වැසිකිළි පහසුකම් සහිතව) විවෘත කිරීමේ උත්සවය 16.04.2026 බ්‍රහස්පතින්දා උදෑසන පැවැත්විණි.

නෙඩුන්තීවු ප්‍රාදේශීය සභාවේ ගරු සභාපති එස්. සත්‍යවර්ධන මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් පැවැති මෙම උත්සවයට උතුරු පළාත් ගරු ආණ්ඩුකාර නා. වේදනායගම් මහතා සහ යාපනය දිස්ත්‍රික් ගරු පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී කේ. ඉලංගුමරන් මහතා අමුත්තන් ලෙස සහභාගී වී මෙම ගොඩනැගිලි සංකීර්ණය නිල වශයෙන් විවෘත කළහ.
