Swedish cyclist engage in Ceylon Pedal 2025 felicitated

A group of 15 Swedish nationals has involved in a cycling journey for 12 days from Jaffna to Arugam Bay. The journey has been scheduled to commence on 14th June 2025 early morning in Jaffna and conclude at Arugam Bay on 25th June 2025.

At a press briefing session which was held at 4.30 pm on 13th June 2025 at Gate Trees Resort, Jaffna, Mr.Peter Sjogren the team leader, explained the main objectives and their interest on cycling through different parts of Sri Lanka. Chairman of the Northern Province Tourism Bureau Mr.A.Pathinathan briefed about promotional activities of the Tourism Bureau and thanked the Swedish team for their efforts and willingness to commence the journey from Jaffna and travel through several areas of Northern Province. The Director of Ceylon Pedal Mr.Anuradha Jayasingha explained about the route of the journey and their involvement in this activity. A memento and promotional materials were presented to each and every member of the Swedish team and the organisers for their efforts to promote Norther tourism at higher level.

On 14th June 2025 early morning, the cycling journey commenced from Jaffna towards Kilinochchi.
