Destination promotional activity held at Mullaithivu beach

Northern Province Tourism Bureau has taken several steps to promote lesser known attractions which are located within the Northern Province. As such, a promotional programme was conducted at Mullaithivu town beach on 08th August 2025 with the collaboration of Maritimepattue Pradeshiya Sabha. A beach volleyball competition was conducted among Beach Volleyball teams which are functioning within Maritimepattu Pradeshiya Sabha area. On the evening, the final match was played between Mullai Star Sports Club and Uthayam Sports Club.

Hon. Chairman of the Maritimepattu Pradeshiya Sabha Mr.S.Logeswaran, Chairman of the Northern Province Tourism Bureau Mr.A.Pathinathan, Secretary to the Maritimepattu Pradeshiya Sabha Mrs.R.Jeyakumar and Members of the Maritimepattu Pradeshiya Sabha have participated at the promotional programme. Awards for the winning teams of the Beach Volleyball competition were handed over to team members. After the awarding ceremony, cultural performances were staged.
