District Secretary – Mannar made a field visit to Thekkam anicut area

In order to promote lesser known attractions in the Mannar district, the Tourism Bureau of Northern Province has identified the potentials around Thekkam anicut and Hanging bridge area and planned to develop it as a tourism zone. Proper steps have been taken to obtain approval from relevant authorities to carry out the activities.

As such, a field visit was held on 01st May 2024 involving District Secretary of Mannar Mr.K.Kanakeshwaran, Chairman of Northern Province Tourism Bureau Mr.A.Pathinathan, Irrigation Engineer of Murungan Eng.M.I.M.Z.Ibrahim and Secretary to the Nanaddan Pradeshiya Sabha Mr.X.L.Renald. Important development activities were identified and finalized during the field visit.
