Kalvarimalai

This church is situated in a hilly area in the Periyakomarasankulap place. Number of coverings of Jesus Christ depicting some of the stages of his life could be seen here. Annually “patha yathra” takes place from Mannar during the lent period. It retreats prayers that are conducted for 40 days during the month of March and April are considered as very important here. The other important occasions that are observed here are the death and regaining life by Jesus. From Vavuniya bus stand travel along Korappoththanai road then travel along Madukanthai Iraperiyankulam road and to Kalvarimalai. It is in the Vavuniya DS Division.
