Tourist Friendly Service Provider training held in Poonakary division

The Northern Province Tourism Bureau has taken several steps to enhance the standard of services provided to visiting tourists in the Northern Province. As such, a training programme for three wheel drivers and taxi drivers has been conducted at the conference hall of the Poonakary Pradeshiya Sabha on 10th and 17th April 2025. Resource Persons from Sri Lanka Traffic Police, Tourist Police, Office of the Medical Officer of Health, Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority and Northern Province Tourism Bureau have conducted the sessions.

The closing session was held on 17th April 2025. Chairman of the Northern Province Tourism Bureau Mr.A.Pathinathan, Additional District Secretary of District Secretariat – Kilinochchi Mrs.Nalayine Inparaj, Divisional Secretary of Poonakary Mr.T.Ahilan, Assistant Director from Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority Mr.S.Dadeepan and Secretary to the Poonakary Pradeshiya Sabha Mr.R.Thayaparan have participated at the closing session.
