Awareness programme and mobile service held in Jaffna for tourism service providers

On the request made by the Northern Province Tourism Bureau to encourage informal service providers to register with Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, staff form SLTDA held an awareness programme and a mobile service on 16th and 17th December 2024 at the conference hall of Northern Province Tourism Bureau, Kaithady. In order to provide awareness and subject knowledge, one staff from each Local Authority in Jaffna district also invited to the awareness programme.
During the Mobile service, 20 new applications and 8 renewal applications have been submitted to the SLTDA staff. After the mobile service, staff from SLTDA and Tourist Police made an inspection visit to 10 accommodational establishments.
