A field visit held at Mannar urban coastal park area to promote tourism activities

In order to identify potential tourism development activities at the Mannar Urban Coastal park area, a field visit followed by a discussion was held on 22nd January 2025 from 10.00am onwards.

During this field visit and discussion, District Secretary of Mannar District Secretariat Mr.K.Kanakeshwaran, Chairman of the Northern Province Tourism Bureau Mr.A.Pathinathan, Additional District Secretary – Land Administration of Mannar Mr.A.Sriskanthakumar,  Divisional Secretary of Mannar Town Mr.M.Piratheep, Deputy Director of Planning at Mannar District Secretariat Mr.Jude Rohan, Secretary to the Mannar Urban Council Mr.S.Logeswaram and officials from District Secretariat – Mannar, Office of the Assistant Commissioner of Local Government – Mannar, Tourism Bureau of Northern Province and Mannar Urban Council have participated. The team identified some immediate needs of the area to provide better services to the visiting tourists and attract more tourists to this district.
