Initial site-discussion held at Sangupiddy bridge area to identify potential development activities

In order to provide better services to the visiting tourists and commuters who pass the area, an initial discussion was held on 08th February 2024 from 10.00am onwards, under the Chairmanship of Mr.A.Pathinathan – Chairman of Northern Province Tourism Bureau.

Project Director of the Road Development Authority Northern Region Eng.Croos, Executive Engineer of RDA – Kilinochchi, Director of Tourism Bureau of Northern Province Mr.V.Ayakulan, Secretary and Technical Officer of the Poonakary Pradeshiya Sabha, officials from Assistant Commissioner of Local Government – Kilinochchi office and Tourism Bureau of Northern Province also participated at the discussion.

The team visited to the both areas where tourists sit and relax at Sangupiddy bridge and inspect the conditions of the area. They have identified many potential requirements of the area. Also they discussed regarding the activities which could engage the tourists to spend more time at the area.
