Tourism Bureau conducts Career guidance programme on Tourism and Hospitality sectors in Mullaithivu district

Tourism Bureau of Northern Province has taken steps to organize awareness programmes in schools to provide information on tourism and hospitality sectors to the students who are following O/L and A/L classes in all five districts of the province. On 12th June 2024, this programme was conducted in Udaiyarkaddu Maha Vidyalayam and Viswamadu Maha Vidyalayam in Mullaithivu districts. More than one hundred students in each school participated in the programme. During this awareness programme, potential courses offered in universities and training institutes in Sri Lanka and important jobs available in tourism and hospitality industries were highlighted to the students. Mr.M.Muhunthan Visiting Lecturer at the University College of Jaffna participated as the Resource Person and did the presentation. A leaflet containing potential jobs in these sectors were issued to each student.
